I purchased my Amana dishwasher three months ago and absolutely love it! It is so quiet that I can entertain friends and family in the kitchen without it being too loud. It cleans the dishes perfectly! I never have to empty standing water off the top of my glasses anymore. The heating control works like a charm. I couldn't be happier with my Amanda product.

High End Quality Machine for Entry Level Price!!!!

If you don't need all the fancy bells and whistles, this is a terrific model. It is on the lower end of the spectrum for price and features but still gives you plenty to work with. It has 3 different wash cycle choices and a hi temp and heated dry option as well. It has more than enough space in the silverware rack to put ALL of our utensils and not have them all bunched together on top of one another so each piece gets clean. It has a top and bottom spray feature so that all the dishes are getting clean. Our dishes come out clean, the glasses shine, and we save energy when we run it. It has a 63 decibel sound rating but, with our kitchen being open to the living room and dining area, we have heard no issues of interfering while watching TV or hanging out while the dishwasher is running. We like this unit so much that I don't know why anyone would need to buy a higher end unit when this one gets the job done very well and then some!!!

I renovated my kitchen in 1999, with all new Amana things. Sure could have bought more top of the line stuff,,but I chose the Amana top of the line things back then. Only recently had the dishwasher started to do some things, so I replaced with another Amana. The one I got was once again, total quality, as good as the top of the line ones my friends have, and mine was 1/3 the price,,ha ha !!!

My wife and I decided to buy this model because over the years we have bought several before this one. All prior to this one were the expensive, multi cycle, super deluxe models, with more cleaning cycles and features that we never used. This one, first off, is very quite! It only has 3 cycles! It does a fantastic job! It costs less than half of what we have in the past spent and what is competing with it now. Now the most obvious unanswered question? Tune in 10 years from now for the answer!

Large tub

Have this about 2 weeks, the tub is larger than my pld machine which makes loading easier. However, I found that unless the dishes are rinsed clean , there sometimes is food residue, It is pretty quiet, which is a plus. All in all it is a pretty good machine.

Offending Smell

I knew I could not expect everything when I bought a not expensive dishwasher. But every time I open the dishwasher I smell n offending smell much like something has been locked up for a long time. It is almost like smelling unclean air. I tried to use rinse aid with the detergent and left the door open for awhile, but the next time I open the door, the smell is there again.

Bought this for a second residence and it works as well as the top of line in my primary home. We love the simplicity of the control panel. There are 3 different wash cycles (heavy, normal and 1 hour). Drying can be heated or not and there is an extra "hi temperature" wash cycle. We have not used this since everything is thoroughly washed without the extra energy consumption. This is an American Manufactured unit and it looks extremely well made. The unit could be quieter, but we are used to the sound and it is not as intrusive as we initially believed. Great dishwasher I would purchase another.

The Amana has just the features I wanted without all the extravagent "bells and whistles". It cleans the dishes nicely leaving them sparkling clean. It works so quietly that we don't notice it running. We haven't compared the electric bills since adding it; but, will be looking at that soon as we like to use the "Hi Temp" cycle and are hopeful that it is not using more power than our last dishwasher.

My new dishwasher was delivered on 1/27/2015 and I have been using it for almost 2 weeks now. I am disappointed in the quality of the cleaning and drying. In particular the tops of items on the bottom rack just do not get cleaned well at all. Secondly, even with a rinse aid and the "heated dry" function on, dishes are quite wet after the cycle is over - even 8 hours later.
