It’s time to get serious about conserving not only space, but water and energy too. The Duet Sport washer and dryer from Whirlpool combines a front-load design and large capacity with a compact size.

The washer and dryer are each 2-inches shorter and 2-inches shallower than traditional washers and dryers, so they can be squeezed into tight spots. They are also perfect for second-floor installation, as they have two support springs that reduce vibration and noise.

And because they’re smaller in size, they use half the water of a traditional top-loading washer and less electricity than a traditional electric dryer.

MSRP is $799 for the washer and $699 for the dryer.
