Kenmore Dehumidifiers Pose Burn/Fire Risks, Recalled


The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and LG Electronics (Tianjin) Appliance Co. have voluntarily recalled Kenmore Dehumidifiers for fire and burn hazards posed to consumers. The CPSC announced the nationwide product recall on August 2, 2012.

The dehumidifiers are being recalled after discovering that they can overheat, smoke, melt and catch on fire, which poses a burn hazard to consumers.
